RAVENHAWK, NOW AVAILABLE FOR ORDER FROM

CONTEMPORARY CLASSIC CARS, Inc.
http://www.contemporaryclassiccars.info/

Wichita, Kansas– The Ravenhawk is not your typical street rod.  As the name implies, Contemporary Classic Cars, Inc. has successfully designed and built a car with a classic profile but contemporary engine, suspension, electronics and other systems, and it is now available for order.

“It is truly a luxury car, but it has the powerful engine and exhaust rumble of a street rod versus a sports or exotic car,” said Jerry Harrison, owner and designer.  Unlike the street rod it was inspired by, the trunk is large, there is plenty of leg room, it has a clamshell hood, fully independent suspension in the front and rear, 6-speed manual transmission, full sound system, GPS, leather seats and power door locks.  The engine is a 405 hp LS6 Corvette with cruise control, and it also has automatic front and rear cameras with audio warning.  There’s a perimeter security system with key fob pager and an electronic tracking transmitter that allows you to determine the car location on your computer.  Detailed specifications are available at http://contemporaryclassiccars.info/

The convertible top and huge trunk give you the flexibility to drive in any weather, while providing room for golf clubs and baggage.  Your significant other will also enjoy riding in your Ravenhawk compared to a typical "hot rod."  There’s more space, more leg room and no more unbearable heat and noise from the engine. Both of you will ride in luxury with leather seats, listen to your favorite music and enjoy all the attention from friends and admirers.

It is being offered in two versions:  Standard Street Rod (SSR) for those who desire the sound and performance of a street rod, and Luxury Street Rod (LSR) which adds luxury items such as GPS, heated seats, security system, automatic headlights, etc.

Every effort is made to use existing production components so that if necessary, you will be able to purchase replacement parts from a local major car dealer, rather than having to send your car back to a custom shop to rebuild the only part that exists.

Jerry Harrison started Contemporary Classic Cars, Inc. after retiring in 2006 with 40 years of experience in aircraft engineering, tooling and manufacturing.  The Ravenhawk prototype was built in less time than the 5-year industry norm for a full custom automobile, and they anticipate that in the future, with increased production, they will be able to deliver with a 6 month lead time.

The Ravenhawk is a limited production, hand built, fully assembled street rod, customized to your requirements.  One example is a custom hand tooled leather dash to compliment a western theme.  Jerry is also in the process of developing a kit that would make this concept available to the DYI individual.

Watch for this unique classic driving around the streets of Wichita.
